Group Runs
An average group run with Hamilton Area Trail Runs consists of 6-8 runners of varying ability dragging themselves out of bed to meet at 7am on a Saturday morning. All our group runs start with a brief warm up period and the dreaded push ups. From there we take off into the trails for a 5-8 mile jaunt through some of the nicest trails our area has to offer.
Our pace varies depending on the ability of the runners that have come out that day but usually averages out to about a 9 minute mile. If that seems too slow for you, don't worry! We always find unique ways to keep those at the front of the pack challenged while we wait for the others to catch up at certain points along the way. If you're worried about keeping up, don't! When you run with us, there is never any need to feel intimidated or embarrassed. We run because we enjoy it and there is nothing we like to see more than someone coming out and challenging themselves. After just a couple of weeks you'll look back and be glad you took the first step.
Whether you're a rabbit or a turtle, when you run with Hamilton Area Trail Runs you run with friends.
