Here are answers to just a few of the most common questions we get...
Q: What kind of pace does the group usually keep?
A: Our pace varies depending on the ability of the folks that show up each week but we usually fall somewhere between the 8-10 minute per mile pace. It's not a race so we don't really keep track but we all have schedules to keep so we are mindful of the time.
Q: How long is a typical group run?
A: Our distance varies depending on a number of variables but we usually run anywhere from 5 to 8 miles. Occasionally, when the planets align and we're all feeling good we may even go longer....
Q: What do I need to bring to a group run?
A: Aside from yourself, there is nothing you NEED to bring. Like any other run though you might want to bring some water or whatever your used to hydrating yourself with.
Q: I just started running and I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up?
A: Don't worry! We never leave anyone behind and we'd love to meet you. Coming out for the first time is the hardest part but we guarantee you'll be glad you took the first step. In a couple of weeks you'll look back and wonder what you were so nervous about.
Q: I don't have a pair of trail shoes, can I just wear my normal running shoes?
A: Of course. You may find that a decent pair of trail shoes provide better support and traction on the trail but your normal running shoes will be just fine.
Q: Are you guys nuts!?!?
A: Well...yes! But don't take our word for it. Come on out and see for yourself!
